Revisiting a shot I took Aug 1 2009. I took this today and was earlier in the day. I will try this shot again tomorrow later in the day, maybe.

Lilly

I love the bokeh in this image. I can never get enough of Lillies. I bet I have 100 shots of these during our trip.

Beach games

Vantage point: the Beach House. Great view of all the surfers.

SILK

I have always wanted to take a shot like this. Who thunk I would do in the the bright sunlight of Hawaii? Well here it is. Manual exposure, Duh, f 32, ISO 80, 50MM at 1 second not on a traditional tripod, but sitting on a rock and set at 2 second self timer. It was taken in a realativly shady area but at 4pm-ish. It was not taken in the outback but rather the Hilton resort.

Surfer Dude

This was taken this morning about 7:30 am Hawaii time. Pentax k5, Tamron 70-200 racked all the way out at 200mm. Added a 2x doubler to make it 400mm. Surfer was about 300 yards off shore. I also cropped in post, about 1/2.

Our christmas card....I highly doubt it

The first bee sting

This was taken at Salt Pond with my new Pentax Optio WG-1. I got it primarily for underwater use. This image was taken on 7/18 but figured I would re-date it to remind us that she got her first bee sting yesterday 7/17

4th of July--better late than never

Here is a fourth of July shot that I took. I did not have time to post before I left town so I am getting around to it now.

The Lady

A very hot humid day. Visibility was poor at best but at least we could see the Lady from the park.

Brooklyn Bridge

New York on a hot and humid day. The rain came down soon after this shot was taken. It rained enough to cancel the Baseball game. Jeter will have to wait at least one more day for his 3000 hit.
