I will get this shot down before the year ends. I felt it was a bit closer this time than my other 2 trys. I will visit this one again before the end of the year.__________________________

It's coming along... Was this shot in your backyard? In the city? It might be there's too much "light pollution" and so you're seeing atmosphere and not all those faint stars visible in a truly dark sky. I'm guessing if you used these same settings under a very dark sky it would be much more dramatic.
