Moonlight in the morning

Very cold this morning. I got to work early and used my coat as a tripod. I set my camera on my coat, took a 30 sec exposure and ended up with this shot of the early morning moon.

  1. Wow that's impressive. Remarkably stable for a coat shot! The star below the moon doesn't look like it's moved at all.

  2. Hah! I love it. You could market the coat as the 'Cadena Pod'.

I love the blue - did you amp the saturation any, or is that what you saw? Interesting ghost ring around the moon too.

  3. Thanks guys. I did not saturate the blue at all. From my limited experience I the best time to take moon shot is just before dusk if you want to get the blues. If you are looking for Black take the shot in the middle of the night.
